This course provides an introduction to the MVS operating system, in particular, the use of TSO and ISPF. It is intended for anyone new to the TSO/ISPF environment. A combination of lecture and labs (hands on) give an opportunity to understand TSO and ISPF. SDSF is also covered.

This course is intended for anyone who will work in the MVS environment and with TSO, ISPF and SDSF.

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

• Issue TSO commands to manipulate data and list information
• Navigate through the ISPF menus
• Edit and view data
• Use utilities to manipulate datasets/members
• Use SDSF to work with job output
